Late Osinachi's Husband Finally Speaks Over Wife’s Death

 Several hours after he was whisked away by the police, Peter Nwachukwu, husband to the late Gospel singer, Osinachi has opened up about the death of his wife.

Mr. Nwachukwu denied the wife's battery and assault allegations leveled against him saying that he’s innocent of all the assumptions and fabrications.

Speaking from police custody, the suspect said the late gospel singer had been ill since November last year.

Nwachukwu said he first took her wife to Federal Medical Center, later to Gwagwalada General hospital, from where she was moved to National hospital, where she finally died.

He, however, failed to disclose the nature of her illness.

According to TheNigeriaLwyer, the suspect was handcuffed and taken to the police van stationed in front of the Lugbe police station in Abuja, at about 11a.m on Monday.

The police said they drove him to his house to provide evidence of the hospitals where he claimed to have taken the deceased for treatment.

Meanwhile, an autopsy has been carried out on the Osinachi Nwachukwu’s corpse to ascertain the real cause of her death.

While the police await the autopsy test results, Peter Nwachukwu has been transferred to the force headquarters in Abuja for further interrogations.
