Soludo marks 30th wedding anniversary

Governor of Anambra State,  Chukwuma Soludo and his wife, Nonye,  today,  gathered family, friends and well wishers to show appreciation for God's benevolence in their marriage for the last 30 years. 

A Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated by Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke at the governor's Country home, Isuofia, to mark the milestone.


Delivering a homily at the Mass, Cardinal Okpaleke, who is the Catholic Bishop of  Ekwulobia Diocese,  spoke on those who died while following God, charging Christians to be followers of Christ by showing love of Christ and living Christ like lives. 

Cardinal Okpalaeke charged Governor Soludo to always consult and listen to people with the right intentions, not sychophants and also to work according to his conscience. 






Welcoming people who came to worship with them, Governor Soludo thanked God for the love and sustenance through the years, as well as for leading them through the challenges of married life.

“Our marriage has been blessed by God profusely. Six adorable children who are slowly but steadily marching on with life, a family that has remained as compact as the couple first planned”.


Deputy Governor  Onyekachukwu Ibezim, former Governor Willie Obiano and wife, National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ozonkpu Victor Oye,  member,  representing Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dozie Nwankwo, Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, members of the state executive council, among others, attended the Mass.
