  Anambra awards Ifitedunu Rd, Okpoko solar streetlight contracts


CONTRACT for construction of the 2.14km Igwe Ezechi Okoye Road in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area has been awarded.

  A release signed by Anambra State Commissioner for Information,  Paul Nwosu, said government awarded the contract in continuation of the state-of-emergency recently declared on roads by Gov. Chukwuma Soludo.

  According to the commissioner, the contract was awarded to Master Holdings (Nig.) Ltd for the sum of N1,321,358,262.60 with a completion period of six months from the date of payment of mobilisation fee.

  Similarly, the state government has also approved contract for supply and installation of Hybrid Solar Powered Mini-Grid at 11 locations for 30 courtrooms in High Courts of Anambra State Judiciary Division and a contract for supply and installation of 563 all-in-one solar powered streetlights in Okpoko community of Ogbaru Local Government Area.

Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, said their approvals were made during the weekly meeting of Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) to make living, driving and working around the beneficiary location and offices pleasurable.

  While contract for supply and installation of Hybrid Solar Powered Mini-Grid at 11 Locations for 30 courtrooms was awarded to P.V.S Resources (Nig.) Ltd at a contract sum of N177,690,895 with a completion period of six weeks, that of Okpoko streetlight was awarded to El-Bukeiz (Nig.) Ltd for the contract sum of N375,489,297.75 with a completion period is eight weeks.

  Sir Nwosu also said that government equally approved contract for conduct of hydro-geological and hydrological mapping and modelling of Anambra State which was awarded to a consortium of consultants under Tona Geological Consultants (Nig.) Ltd for N80,000,000 with a completion period of 12 weeks.
