Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Ambassador Eze Dumps APC Declares Support For Obi

 Major General Chris Eze (Rtd), has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, sighting the choice of a Muslim-Muslim Ticket by the party’s presidential candidate, Senator Ahmed Bolaji Tinubu.

In a letter addressed to his APC Udunedem Ward chairman in Udenu local government area of Enugu State, the former Ambassador of Nigeria to India said he cannot “in good conscience defend the party’s Muslim-Muslim ticket during the coming campaign for the presidential election.”

In his resignation letter sighted by JOURNALIST101, the former diplomat also said that he “can no longer bear the dictatorial manner in which the party is run by its chairman in Enugu State.”  Major General Chris Eze (Rtd) added that he believes that Peter Obi and other candidates of Labour are the best in the forthcoming election.

“I believe that His Excellency Peter Obi, Barr Chijioke Edoga, and Barr Okey Ezra, all of the Labour Party, are the best candidates for President of Nigeria, Governor of Enugu State, and Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial Zone respectively.

“I wish to thank the party and President Muhamadu Buhari for allowing me to serve as Nigeria’s High Commissioner to India,” the letter reads.
