Man remanded for sodomising a minor

 

A magistrate court sitting in Ebutte Metta in Lagos state has ordered the remand of a 28-year-old man, Aina Adebayo, for allegedly sodomizing a minor in the Ipaja area of Lagos State.

 

Adebayo, who was said to be facing a one-count charge bordering on sexual assault, is alleged to have committed the crime in 2021 in the Ipaja area of Lagos state.

 The charge read in part;

 “That you, Aina Adebayo, sometime in 2021, at Saint Doregas Private Academy, Akin-Ogun, Ipaja Road, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did penetrate sexually the anus of the victim without his consent.”

 The prosecutor, Supol Paul, said the defendant committed an offense punishable under section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.

 Magistrate O.M Ajayi ordered the remand of the defendant and adjourned the case till September 20, 2022.
