Election: We Are Not Taking The Patience Of Nigerians For Granted – INEC Says

 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has successfully conducted the 2023 General Elections, to include the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State House of Assembly Elections. Although some people claimed that the election was not credible enough as it was not free and fair, others described it as one of the best election ever conducted in Nigeria.

In a video posted by Channels Television on YouTube, INEC has reacted after they conducted the 2023 Elections. The commission said that some of their staff were victims of violence, in that some were brutalized, abducted and in one case killed

The commission said that they do not take the patience of Nigerians for granted, and that they will review and address the allegations of voter inducement, harassment and manipulation of results.

The commission also said that they will keep their eyes on those areas where election materials were destroyed and that they won’t hesitate to remobilize to those areas.

In his words, he said:

“The commission does not take the patience of the citizens for granted and will continue to take steps to protect the integrity of the votes, and consolidate the process so far made in the Electoral process.”
