Anambra legislative elections: APGA in comfortable lead
• Poised to retain majority in Anambra House of Assembly

RESULTS from various polling centres in Anambra State after Saturday, March 18 legislative elections show the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in comfortable lead and poised to maintain majority of the seats in Anambra State House of Assembly (ASHA).
Reports from polling and collation centres across the state and the Anambra State headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Awka indicate that APGA has already won 14 state constituencies and counting as at 9pm of the Saturday.
The seats that APGA have secured include Ayamelum, the constituency of the current ASHA Speaker, Dr. Uche Okafor who will be returning to the House.
Total number of seats in the legislative house is 30.
So far, these constituencies: Anaocha; Njikoka 2; Dunukofia; Aguata 1; Aguata 2; Awka South; Orumba South; Ayamelum; Njikoka 1; Idemili South; Ekwusigo; Ihiala 1; Ihiala 2 and Awka North have gone to APGA.
INEC's declaration of the entire results is expected between tonight and tomorrow.
