Plans are underway by Oyo State Government to get rid of travel agencies who have been defrauding prospective students planning to study abroad.

Oyo  State Commissioner for Education, Olasunkanmi Olaleye stated this at the opening ceremony of Education USA Advising Centre in Ibadan on Wednesday.

In a keynote address, the Public Affairs Officer, U.S Cosulate, Lagos, Stephen Ibelli noted that over 10,000 Nigerian students were studying in United States of America.

Mr. Ibelli said the Education USA Advising Centre was put in place to guide students through the steps of admission and visa procurement free of charge.
