Two bloody accidents in Anambra

FIRST INFORMATION REPORT ON A SERIOUS MULTIPLE ROAD TRAFFIC CRASH AT U-TURN OBA NEW ROAD

A serious road traffic crash happened at  Oba U- turn by new road today 6th February, 2021 at about 1400hrs. 

The crash was between unidentified driver of Mercedes Benz Tipper 911 with registration number by SKA 723 XA and unidentified driver of Daihatsu bus with registration number UWN 369 XK.

Eyewitness account shows that the Road Traffic crash was due to wrongful

overtaking.

Seven persons were involved in the crash comprisses of (4 male adults, 2 female adults and 1 female child).

Four persons (3 male adults and 1 female adult) sustained injuries and was rushed to Jesus is Lord hospital Oba for medical attention by FRSC rescue team from Oraifite Command.

In another development a minor crash happened at Alor junction, Nnobi today 6th February, 2021 at about 1453 hrs.

The crash was a lone crash by unidentified driver of Man Diesel Truck without registration number

The crash was as a result of brake failure. 

Three (3 male adults) were involved in the crash. No injury or death was recorded. Obstruction has been cleared for free flow of traffic.

The Sector Commander Anambra State  *CC Andrew A Kumapayi FHNR* wishes the injured persons quick recovery.

He admonished motorist to avoid wrongful overtaking. They should only overtake when the road is clear or safe to do so. He went further to say that overtaking should not be done in a bend or crest of a hill. 

He also advise motorist to ensure their vehicles are in good condition before setting out for journey in other to guide against road traffic crash.
