*WORLD record-holding hurdler, Tobi Amusan won her third Diamond League gold in the 100 metres hurdles sprint.*

The Nigerian athlete won

the women's 100 metres hurdles at the Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon, United States of America (US), Sunday evening, hitting a time of 12.33 seconds.

In the race which paraded an array of top hurdlers in the world, Ms. Amusan beat Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quin who came second in 12.38s, and Kendra Harrison of the US who finished, third.

The triumph put behind the Nigerian track queen poor performance in last month's Diamond League meet in Budapest where she did not finish among the top three and vitiates the statement of support the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) made on her despite the Budapest debacle and her recent but now overridden challenges with some global athletics control agencies.

She was provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unity (AIU) for allegedly “missing three tests in 12 months." She was only let off the suspension some days before the Budapest event.

Amusan won her first Diamond League trophy in 2021 in 12.42 seconds and defended the title last year in Zurich.
