The Directorate Of Volunteers NGOs and support Group of Ebonyi State Governorship Campaign Council of People's Democratic Party (PDP) has lamented over alleged forceful  resistance, and disruption of political campaigns against opposition parties  by the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state through use of violent attacks

In a statement signed by Hon Darlington Peter Onwe, Director Volunteers NGOs and support Groups, PDP Campaign Council, Ebonyi state, who describes the act as nothing "but an invitation to anarchy, blood birth and breakdown of law"

He condemned the attack on convoy of Pro. Ifeanyichukwu Odo, one of the Gubernatorial Candidates of an opposition party in the state by some heavily armed gunmen suspected to be members of Ebubeagu established by the government of Ebonyi state.

He added that in the course of the attack, the driver to Prof Odo was shot dead, whereas others were left with degrees of bullet wounds.

The Director Volunteers NGO's, therefore called on the Inspection General of police, Director General of the Department of State Security Service and other security Agencies to look into the matter and to provide a lasting solution before it will be too late

"The inspector General of police, the Director General  of the Department of State Security Service and other security agencies should take note and call the Ebonyi State government and their militia forces under Mr Umahi, the outgoing Governor of Ebonyi State to order before it’s too late.

"This is because if this unnecessary provocation continues, our volunteers and supporters will be left with no option than to meet every actions with equal and opposite reaction; this is because responsibiity is laid

on every living thing to survive, and this survival also entails self protection against harm".

"It is glaring that Ebonyians are in their Exodus to freedom from the socio-economic bondage and

hardship which Gov.Umahi led administration has brought upon the people,  Ebonyians have rejected

Umahi and his cement and concrete development ideology; Ebonyians have unanimously rejected everything that has the signature of Mr Umahi as pay back for the gross wickedness, subjugation, denial of rights and frustrations which he brought to the state and carefully supervised, especially his well calculated weaponisation of hunger and starvation against the well meaning Ebonyians.

"This is why his government and machineries are obstructing opposition parties from having direct contact with the people through open campaign activities"

"It is not a surprise that Ebonyians has rejected the outgoing Governor, his stooge godson and his party APC for destroying all sectors of the state.  all modesty, no sane government or leader would have ony four (4) medical doctors and one pharmacist in the payroll of government to oversee five hundred and

fifty seven (557) General Hospitals and Primary Health Centres across the 13 LGA and 64 Development

Centres of the state. Nonetheless, as unbelievably as this is, it's a reality in Ebonyi state. Our tertiary,

primary and secondary institutions have been reduced into sorry state, while civil servants have been dying in their numbers due to denial of their rights, poverty and frustrations which is carefully orchestrated and supervised by the state government under Umahi."

Meanwhile, Onwe has advised the eligible voters in the state to shun all forms of intimidation, vilification and suppression to vote for PDP  in the forthcoming elections.

"This is because the future of the state will be decided by this election

and we must give our voices and votes to the PDP in order to accelerate economic development and

industrialization of the state; and for the citizens to enjoy an improved infrastructure, true and honest youths and women empowerment, human capital  development, institutional reform, rule of law and cohesive security infrastructure." Onwe said
