Commercial, Govt Users To Pay For Twitter – Elon Musk

 

Twitter owner and Billionaire entrepreneur, Elon Musk, has announced that commercial and government users may have to pay to use the micro-blogging platform.

Recall that in an announcement on Monday, April 25, Twitter confirmed the selling of the platform to Musk in a deal valued at $44 billion.

Announcing the development in a joint statement, Musk said, “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated”.

Many had feared that he will commercialize the platform once he takes over.

But he later wrote saying, “Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users”.
