Four killed in renewed Ibarapa violence

 

Four ''loyalists'' of suspected kidnap kingpin Iskilu Wakili, were reportedly killed on Monday March 8 following a renewed violence in Idiyan, Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

 

 

 

The Nation reported that the victims were allegedly hacked to death around 2am in their homes and it was also learnt that two of them are members of a local vigilante group.

 

 

 

Oyo State Police spokesperson, Olugbenga Fadeyi confirmed the incident and also disclosed that their bodies were deposited at Fadok Hospital morgue for autopsy.

 

 

 

Fadeyi said;

 

 

 

“It was reliably gathered that unknown gunmen attacked and killed four men at Kokobido village, Diko Ile, near Ijio, at about 0300 hrs of today. Efforts intensified to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.”
