FATAL CRASH RECORDED IN IGBOUKWU

 

A fatal crash was reported to  FRSC IGBOUKWU Command this afternoon which happened  yesterday night at about 1900  27th March, 2021 at Obiuno Road Ekwulobia.

Unidentified driver of a Lexus ES350 car with registration number KSF 403 GD was involved in the fatal crash.

A total of four persons were involved in the crash comprisses of ( 2 male adults and 2 female adults)

Eyewitness account shows that the driver was on a top Speed  and lost control, knocked down two women crossing the road and crashed into a building by the side of the Road.

Two persons ( 1 male and I female adult) sustained varying degrees of injuries and were taken to Apex hospital Igboukwu, while 2 persons (1 male adult the driver and 1 female adult) was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty, and their body deposited at Apex Mortuary by a good Samaritan before the arrival of FRSC rescue team from Igboukwu Command.

The Sector Commander Anambra State *CC Andrew A Kumapayi FHNR* wishes the injured quick recovery and sends his condolence to the family of the dead victims.

He enjoined drivers to desist from Speeding but apply the recommended speed limit of 50km/hrs in built up areas.  He also said  that speeding is the major cause of fatal crashes been witness on our roads of late.

He also advice pedestrians to be watchful while using the road to avoid been knocked down by reckless drivers.
