CHIMAMANDA’S MOTHER, GRACE ADICHIE IS DEAD

Barely eight months after she lost her father, Prof. James Nwoye Adichie, award winning international writer, Chimamanda Adichie, has lost her mother.

 

According to a Facebook post by veteran journalist and poet, Uzor Maxim Uzoatu this morning, Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie, (nee Odigwe) died at the age of 78.

 

Uzoatu wrote, “It fills me with so much sadness to learn of the passing away of the mother of Chimamanda, Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie, (nee Odigwe) at age 78. May her great soul rest…”

 

It would be recalled that Chimamanda’s father, Prof. James Nwoye Adichie, who died on June 10, 2020, was buried on October 9th in his hometown Abba in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.
