St John the Baptist Church, Ubuluisiuzo, holds harvest and bazaar

It was a moment of jubilation as members of St John the Baptist Catholic Church,


Ubuluisiuzo, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Sunday, held their annual harvest and bazaar, with theme, 'Harvest of Divine Blessing and Visitation'.


The event was graced by dignitaries from far and near including government officials and  clergymen.


Speaking at the event, the parish priest of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ubuluisiuzo, Rev. Fr. Felix Umegboro said he was happy with the response of the parishioners and prayed that God should continue to sustain each and everyone of them all the days of their lives.


 The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Anambra Newspaper and  printing Corporation (ANPC), publishers of National Light, Ka O Di Taa and SportLightXTRA Newspapers, Sir Chuka  Nnabuife, expressed gratitude to God for life and commended the bazaar committee members for organising the event. 


He also appreciated all that participated in one way or the other.


"As God has been blessing us, we also need to reciprocate by giving thanks to God in all he has been doing for us."


Chairman of the occasion, Chief Fidelis Okike and the president General of Ubuluisiuzo, Matthew Chukwubueze, in their separate remarks, thanked God for granting them the privilege to be part of the occasion,  adding that "what is happening here is what is happening  in other places and anyone who works in God's vineyard, God also works in the vinyard  of the person" .


They also prayed that God should use this medium to change things and bring more good fortunes for the people of Ubuluisiuzo so that they will be a great town others will be emulating.


Harvest Committee Chairman,  Emmanuel Nnabuife  said that the bazaar had been the source of building the house of God and that they are currently building another house of God to replace the old one.
