Nkwonta's death, most cruel blow in New Year - Obiano

Willie Obiano of Anambra State  has described the sudden death of the former Anambra State Publicity Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA),  Mr Chinedu Nkwonta,on Monday, as the most cruel blow in the New Year.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr James Eze, the governor  expressed shock at the sudden passing of Nkwonta, saying that his death had left Ndi Anambra in deep mourning so early in the year.

"The deceased state publicity secretary was a great party man, a lover of life and a humanist whose rare touch lit up surfaces far and near.

 “We have lost a great man; a proud Igbo man and a great son of Anambra State.

“He was passionate in everything he did, self-driven and forward-looking. Chinedu had a kind word for everyone and a large heart for the community. His death is a blow to our party and a huge loss to Anambra State. We shall miss him sorely,” Obiano stated.

He further consoled  the Nkwonta family in Nawfia, the board and members of APGA and the deceased’s numerous friends and associates who are still in shock over his sudden exit, praying that God would give them the fortitude to bear the loss.
