Senate confirms Yakubu as INEC Chairman

Prof. Mahmood Yakubu was on Tuesday December 1, confirmed by the senate as the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission for a second term of five years.

 

 

 

This came after a report of the Senate Committee on INEC which recommended Yakubu for confirmation was considered.

 

 

 

Speaking before his confirmation, the senators described him as highly qualified for the job
