Frantic intervention on roads: Kudos to Anambra Govt

WORK has begun on very bad spots of streets and major roads within the urban and suburban cities of Anambra State. 

  Similarly, new road construction projects have been awarded across the state with machines deployed. 

  Our reporters file reports of a plethora of road works, ongoing simultaneously, within the past week. Even the bad sections of Onitsha, Enugu Express Way in the Awka metropolis are being repaired, with heavy duty bulldozers, sand trucks, road technicians and engineers found very busy at various spots of the ebbing road while  signposts written: 'Solution is Here,’ conspicuously dot the route.

  At the hitherto potholes and pits-ridden Ukwu Oji Market,  Ifite, Awka road reporters found road  over a dozen road workers on road repair project working, overnight on Monday and still ongoing as at press time today.

  National Light commends the frantic work and zeal of workers on the sites while urging residents of Anambra State to co-operate with the men and women sweating at the various beats. Kudos must also go to Anambra State Government for the vital intervention.
