Africa has recorded 17 coronavirus deaths – WHO
The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that
Africa has recorded 17 coronavirus deaths since the virus was confirmed in the
continent.
Though Africa was among the last continent to confirm the
virus, 633 confirmed cases of coronavirus has been recorded in 33 countries
across the continent.
In the last 24 hours, Gambia, Mauritius and Zambia announced
their first cases of coronavirus. The deaths recorded in the continent were in
Algeria, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Morocco and Sudan.
