DSS brings detained Sunday Igboho’s supporters to court

The Department of the State Services (DSS) has produced 8 of the twelve associates of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, who were arrested in his house on July 1.

The detained supporters had filed a bail application at the Federal High Court Abuja. On two occasions, the DSS had failed to produce the detained supporters in court. At the resumed hearing in the case last Thursday, July 29, the secret police failed to produce the applicants but made effort to justify its inability to comply with the court’s order.

The presiding judge, Justice Obiora Egwuatu, told the DSS that when a court of competent jurisdiction gave an order, such orders were meant to be obeyed.

This morning, August 2, the DSS provided eight of the twelve arrested supporters in court.

The supporters applying for bail include Abdulateef Ofeyagbe, Amoda Babatunde, Tajudeen Erinoyen, Diakola Ademola, Abideen Shittu, Jamiu Noah, Ayobami Donald, Adelabe Usman, Oluwapelumi Kunle, Raji Kazeem, Taiwo Opeyemi and Bamidele Sunday.
