2023 ushers in accelerated devp, progress – Soludo

. It's a year of peace for ndi Anambra - Okafor

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has assured that the year 2023  will usher in accelerated development and progress in the state and Nigeria while wishing the people of Anambra and Nigerians a bountiful 2023.

In a statement released by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Christain Aburime,  he assured that Anambra will continue to win from all fronts in spite of the daunting challenges.

“There is every reason to celebrate another promising new year and give God Almighty the glory, not only for preserving us to witness the new year, but more importantly, for his mercy and grace for the modest achievements we have recorded within our first nine months in office.

“As we reflect on 2022 and project a prosperous 2023, we have reasons to celebrate the modest achievements we have recorded individually and collectively as a state, despite the daunting challenges facing the nation”.

“The year 2023 will most certainly be a redefining year for us as a people. And it is our earnest desire that Anambra will continue to record more feats”.

“On behalf of my family and members of my executive council, I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year”, Governor Soludo stated.

Meanwhile, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt  Hon. Uche Okafor has assured ndi Anambra that the state legislature would continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at uplifting the living standard of the citizenry as well as the total development of the state.

In his new year message, Rtt Hon. Okafor described year 2023 as a year of peace and progress for the state and the citizenry.

He called on politicians in the state irrespective of party affiliation, to join hands with Governor Chukwuma Soludo in moving the state to greater heights, adding that the governor has achieved a lot in just nine months in office across all sectors.

The Speaker urged various religious bodies in the state to intensify prayers for the continuous peace and progress of the state, noting that with prayers, the state will continue to grow from strength to strength.

 Okafor enjoined security operatives, traditional rulers, and presidents-general to complement Governor Soludo’s wonderful security initiatives by fishing out miscreants in their localities.

While wishing ndi Anambra a happy and prosperous New Year, the Speaker commended them for the faith they have in Governor Soludo’s administration and enjoined them to pray fervently for the peaceful conduct of the forthcoming general elections.
