Anambra Assembly Commend Obiano, Others For Achieving Oil Producing Status

The members of Anambra state house of Assembly have congratulated Governor Willie Obiano as the state was recently declared an oil producing state.

Chief whip and Member representing Dunukofia constituency, Hon Lawrence Ezeudu at plenary moved a mater of urgent public importance congratulated Governor Willie Obiano for making Ndi-Anambra proud through making sure that the state joined in the oil producing state in Nigeria

According Ezeudu, 'Anambra's economy will improve and youths will be employed. This will add to the achievement of Obiano's administration. 

Ezeudu highlighted the effects and scourge of being an oil producing state such as oil spillage and bunkry which could course criminalities. 

"All this negative consiquencies could be coming our way. We must plan very fast and make laws that will guild and checkmate all these" he advised

Other lawmakers in their separate submissions hailed Governor Obiano for his active involvement in making these dream come true. 

" This requires some kudos and commendation. It will go down in the history books that it was under Obiano's administration that Anambra state got these recognition. He is a man of grace. Throughout his administration till date, he has done and attracted strategic projects. 

" I also thank the past governors of Anambra state, national legislators and all those who in one way or the other played different roles in making these dream come true.

"The benefit of becoming an oil producing state is endless. This will change the economic and social life of Anambra state. This is an achievement for us all.

" I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for approving and doing the needful. When these revenue start coming, it should be channeled and invested on agriculture. Oil comes and goes but agriculture but agriculture will be there.

"It is with great joy that am congratulating Chief Willie Obiano. This is a prove of the reckless efforts of the governor. Anambra state assembly will continue to support his administration. This is exclusively, a giant achievement. Congratulations to us all
