Peace is sacrosanct for any people or community to drive on the wheel of growth and development. Society thrives in harmony and achieves more in peacetime than otherwise.

Traditional ruler of Umueri Kingdom, Igwe Benneth Emeka stated this at his 3rd Ovala Festival in Umueri.
Igwe Emeka appealed to ndi Umueri to pursue and embrace peace, unity and good neighbourliness as panacea for Umueri’s community transformation.
‘’There is no need for us to fan the embers of disunity. Every single issue can be deliberated upon before decisions are arrived at for the good of all.”
The monarch urged the people to use the avenues open to them for dialogue to achieve their positive dreams and aspirations as a people.
Traditional prime minister of Umueri Kingdom, Onowu Mike Ezeakonobi said the Ovala Festival was appropriate because it offered the community the opportunity to appreciate God as the essence of the festival stands.
“We are thanking God with our monarch for the great things He has done for our community. Our monarch enthronement wasn’t accidental,God destined it and you cannot contend with that.”
He called on Umueri people to support and always pray for the monarch to take the community to the heights that God wants them to attain.
Umueri people used the Ovala Festival to display their rich cultural heritage with various entertaining displays.
Dignitaries at the event were, Chief Arthur Eze, MD/CEO, Anambra Newspapers and Printing Corporation (ANPC), Sir Chuka Nnabuife,  traditional rulers, government functionaries and captains of industry.
